LAKE CITY - Three eighth-graders apparently spiked a Lake City Middle School teacher's soft drink with Germ-X hand sanitizer and could be charged with aggravated assault, officials said.

The female science teacher became nauseated after drinking the beverage but didn't require medical attention and returned to work today, officials said. The soft drink was in a Styrofoam cup on her desk, and an unknown amount of Germ-X from a pump bottle in her class was put in the cup, Sellers said.
